It sounds silly, but honestly, this is the best feature of this app: whenever I click on something, this right-side menu pops up and (often) has all the information about the account that I need.
it's just sometimes I find it to be slightly different or constricted for some reason or another. I would LOVE to just have all options available to me each time I click on any account (or savings or insurance) within the app.
example: estate tab, clicking on the bene section only shows the bene menu. It would be great to have the whole menu, just in case I have to change something else about it while I'm thinking about it in that moment (rather than having to exit out of the estate plan and go elsewhere to fix something).
Elsewhere in the financials balance sheet area, if I click on a checking or savings account, it shows the overview, goals, and documents tab. For retirement accounts, it also shows the portfolio and the estate. I get why the portfolio is not in checking and savings, but the estate tab should be within those accounts. Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, the portfolio menu should be available for checking and savings accounts to a certain extent, in that the time horizon for the usage of the account might be relevant.
Another example, in the goals goal mapping section, all accounts only have the overview and documents tabs. (no portfolio, goals, or estate tabs).
I think you probably implemented this to reduce complexity and attempt to make that menu more relevant to the specific screen you're on. However, I would say, from a user perspective, I would love to just become accustomed to what is available on that right side and always know that, if I click on an account, I can edit everything that I need to in that right-hand side menu. I know exactly where it is, rather than having to play a game of having an idea about an account and then having to click on it, figure out that the tab that I'm looking to change is not available, and then search through the rest of the app to figure out where I can change it.
I also assume, from a back-end maintenance perspective, this would be easier because you only have to manage the UI for one type of menu and then simply implement that everywhere (rather than having any sort of if-then conditionality).
I can't find it now, but maybe it was in the plan setup, where the advisor notes were a different tab relative to the other notes being at the bottom of the first screen.
