Hey Taylor Stewart, is there a way to get the folder tree that we create to apply in the onboarding process where clients are uploading documents in the first step?
I haven't been able to find a way to get the folder tree to apply in the onboarding process, even when the folder tree is applied to the client once they are created

Brett Wysopal, CFP, EA, ECA this is an interesting idea. Long story short: we didn't build the onboarding form for that use case, but we'll add it soon-ish.
Full thoughts below:
The document upload functionality in the onboarding form was designed for extraction not organization (we also didn't have folders originally, ha). That said:
- There's no technical reason it can't be done
- If you think having clients click through the folder tree to drop documents in the right place is easier/better than
The reason we built it the way we did is my thought (or really, my personal preference) is to make it easy for clients to dump documents in at once in the onboarding form, run extraction, then organize in the document vault. A few reasons I prefer doing the organizing in the vault. 1) larger UI window to work in. 2) Dora can do it haha.
But, I also see the argument for having clients do that in the onboarding form. It feels more like a structured process than a blank "document upload screen". Especially if you don't run extraction in the onboarding form.
All that said we are actively talking about how to integrate folders into the onboarding form and give advisors the option to choose. I'll create new feature request and put it on the road
