can this somehow be set for annual expenditure (for example vacation goal annually) or is that better suited in a different module?

Phillip Mills, CFP®, EA probably have to open a new ticket for them to see your feedback since this was marked complete. also i tend to ask dora/help ai a good bit on how to put things like that together. overall i don't think there's a great place for annual goals... maybe it's just you set a monthly amount with no total amount to hit?

Andrew Mickley and Phillip Mills, CFP®, EA we still see your comments on closed tickets. Sorry if we're not getting to everything instantly.
yeah so you could certainly use "other" goals as an annual expenditure goal. It's just a question of how you talk about it with a client. If it's annual expense, then that could be captured in your spending assumption. But you can also add it as a goal, assign accounts to it, and track their progress towards it. It just wouldn't automatically reset at some calendar date. Does that make sense? Is there a better way you'd prefer it to work?

Taylor Stewart all good on timing -- it was the weekend! i just assumed notifications stopped on closed tickets.
I don't have a clear vision of how to best implement this. If it's a big "world trip", then the regular "save $20k at x/mo" makes sense. if it's just "we spend $30k/yr on travel but we don't want to lump it into regular spending"... not sure how that would look nice. i think it would be an "other" goal with maybe an assigned savings account, monthly savings amount, but no set amount or "fund by" date?
Taylor Stewart
Andrew Mickley: Yeah so lets say the spend $100k per year including $10k on a vacation.
If you want to show "savings progress" towards the $10k then you would just reduce their spending by $10k and increase savings to the accounts assigned to that goal by $10k. If you don't move it to savings, then you could make things look worse than it is with spending AND a savings gap.
This is actually clear to me now so let me know if I can explain it better. I also know Phillip Mills, CFP®, EA originally asked it, so Phillip, let me know if that's not clear.

Taylor Stewart Not quite clear but give me a little bit to wrap my head around it 😅
