Perhaps two columns, one for assets, one for liabilities. Each column would then have the broad types of each:
Assets
-Cash
-Investments
-Annuities
-Properties
Liabilities
-Credit Cards
-Loans

Nice change. The green and red boxes at the top with assets and liabilities are gone now though. I thought they were a nice touch.
